Dovetail’s Top 10 Top Pairings of 2014

Posted December 17, 2014 by Vicki.

We're celebrating many matches made in 2014! It wasn't easy, but we narrowed it down to our Top 10 brand partnerships of the year. We had a ball deciding on the final list (purely subjective).

So drumroll please and start the countdown. Here are Dovetail’s top 10 favorite pairings of 2014!

10. You Lift Me Up ….
Big selling Pacifico beer offered a cool summer salsa to consumers, and a helping hand to Sabra’s newest offering, Santa Barbara Salsa.

9. Lighten Up!
Chateau St. Jean wine teamed with Litehouse dips and dressings for a cool, tasty and pretty darn healthy way to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

8. Cooling Off in Summer Heat
Who would have thought that the best summer grilling partners would be two frozen brands? Butterball featured their turkey products for grilling in a national FSI, and topped things off with a cool Edwards pie for dessert.

7. Big Tastes for the Big Game
They might not be tops in their categories in brand recognition, but when you’ve got all that flavor, who cares? Cellar 8 wine took two traditional tailgate flavors to the field for their Big Game: Inglehoffer Mustard and the Pork Board’s great variety of pork products for grilling.

6. Spiced-Up Holidays
Corona Extra and Corona Light took holiday cheer — and spice — to Hispanic markets by teaming with Novamex’s Mexico Lindo and Castillo hot sauces.  Feliz Navidad done right!

5. A Traditional Holiday Meal
Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi made Thanksgiving shopping easy by teaming with Butterball turkey, Spice Islands, Mrs. Smith’s and Edwards pies. Now that’s a lot to be thankful for.

4. Building a Better Burger
Sutter Home's long-running promotion has been successful for decades, so we were thrilled to add a little to the 2014 program. That "little" included Claussen pickles, Pam grilling spray, and Alexia's great french fries.

3. Sparkling Good Mixology
What do you get when you team up three carbonated brands?  Cocktail recipes with kick! Ruffino Prosecco and Cook’s Sparkling wines paired with lightly carbonated, fruity Izze soft drinks and gave consumers some great new cocktail ideas.

2. Romantic and Cozy
Nothing says romantic and cozy like Movie Night at home with champagne and popcorn for two. Freixenet sparkling wine brought the bubbles, while Boomchickapop popcorn added the sweet and salty.

1. Big Names for the Big Game
Talk about a stellar offense! Rex Goliath went all out for their Big Game promotion with BIG brands Butterball turkey burgers and French’s mustard. Score!
