Why we love wine
Breaking news — when it comes to drinking wine, we Americans know what we’re doing. We recently surpassed France in our wine consumption. According to the International Organization of Vine and Wine, Americans now consume about 769 million gallons of wine a year, compared to the French’s 742 million gallons.
At Dovetail, we think that’s a statistic to celebrate. A bottle of wine is the centerpiece at gatherings, and a toast is what brings people together. When plates and glasses are full, hearts are full as well. It’s the most joyous of moments — and we get to be a part of it all.
We love brand matchmaking particularly because we love the brands we match. The first wine company we worked with was Constellation Brands, and they are still a solid favorite. As one of the top three wine companies in America, Constellation carries more than 70 labels. They have been our partners in matchmaking for many years, so we raise a glass to them.
From that foundation, Dovetail’s wine business has grown. Constellation is a great example of so many partner brands: versatile, dedicated and unbelievably fun. Just like with wine, we think our brand relationships get better with age. We now work with nine of the top 30 wine companies in the world.
Whether your favorite glass of wine is served alongside the Thanksgiving turkey or a bowl of white cheddar popcorn on a Wednesday night, we think every moment is worth celebrating. That’s why we love what we do.
